Why Ringas Junction matters for Khatu Shyam Ji

Khatu Shyam Ji does not have its own railway station yet. So almost every devotee arriving by train gets down at Ringas and covers the last 17 km by road.

Ringas is a junction on the Jaipur–Sikar line in Sikar district, Rajasthan. Trains from Delhi, Jaipur and many other cities pass through it, which is why it stays busy during Ekadashi and the Phalguna Mela.

How to reach Khatu from Ringas station

• Shared jeep or taxi — the most common option. You will find them right outside the station. Cheapest way, but you may have to wait for the vehicle to fill up.
• Private taxi — best if you are with family, elders or small children. You leave straight away and get dropped at your hotel.
• Local bus — runs on the Ringas–Khatu route and is very cheap, but slower and crowded on busy days.
• On foot (Nishan Yatra) — many devotees walk the 17 km carrying a nishan, especially during the mela. It usually takes 4–5 hours.

If you want a vehicle waiting for you when your train arrives, you can book a taxi in advance and travel without any hunting at the station.

Simple tips before you travel

• Check the status the same morning. Trains on this route can run late during festival days.
• Note your arrival time at Ringas, not the final stop. Many trains continue further, so the last station timing is not your timing.
• Reaching late at night? Pre-book your taxi. Shared jeeps become hard to find after dark.
• Travelling during Ekadashi or Phalguna Mela? Expect heavy crowds at both the station and the temple. Keep extra time in hand.
• Keep water and a light snack for the road journey, especially in summer.

A dedicated Khatu Shyam Ji Railway Station has been approved, and railway officials have already inspected the proposed site. Once it is built, devotees will be able to reach Khatu Dham directly by train instead of getting down at Ringas.
