Salasar Balaji — Hanuman Dham on the Khatu Yatra Circuit
Salasar Balaji is one of Rajasthan's most revered Hanuman temples, famous for the unique bearded (dari-mooch) form of Balaji. It lies about 105 km from Khatu Shyam Ji in Churu district — roughly a 2-hour drive — making the two shrines a classic combined pilgrimage.
The Khatu → Salasar → Rani Sati Circuit
Most devotees cover Khatu Shyam Ji, Salasar Balaji and the Rani Sati Dadi temple (Jhunjhunu) together over 1–2 days. A private cab is the easiest way to do this loop at your own pace. Book a multi-stop Khatu–Salasar taxi or choose a curated Khatu–Salasar tour package.
How to Reach Salasar from Khatu
The drive runs via Sikar and Sujangarh on good state highways. Shared jeeps and RSRTC buses also connect the two towns, though a private taxi saves time for darshan on a tight schedule.
Where to Stay
Salasar has plentiful dharamshalas and budget lodges around the temple. Many pilgrims prefer to stay a night near Ringas or the Khatu temple and do Salasar as a day trip — compare verified hotels for the best rooms.
