Barbarik, a warrior-hero of Mahabharata, worshipped by Lord Krishna with bliss, granted the temple to Goddess; to be the blessed temple which holds the divine head (Shish) of Barbarik as Shyam Ji. The peaceful white-marble building, embellished with carvings, exudes calm and devotion. The idol was discovered from the holy pond close to the place of worship called Shyam Kund and is used in rituals.
